The 2nd of the BBGE 2016 started at the local break where the competition will take place “Fajã da Areia”. With a rising swell of 3” to 5” solid feet waves the girls could have a taste of the potential this spot has. Some launching ramps and hollows sections marked the free surf this morning pushing the girls into higher level.

This way at the afternoon, organizers decided to challenge the athletes to face the Island infamaus wave of “Paul do Mar”. Located at the south west coast of the Island, Paul do Mar” is a long and heavy point break that  doesnt aloud to fail while performing, while it breaks on it’s very shallow and dangerous rocky bottom.

4x World Champion Isabela Sousa reffers to “Paul do Mar” as “…a particulary wild scenario. Both landscape and waves make this place very unique…”

Action was insane and the girls where amped to show what they were capable of.

After reload batteries, this second day finished with a boat trip to the deep marine blue Atlantic Ocean to see whales and dolphins while enjoying a colorful sunset.

The BBGE will be back the water tomorrow with much more priceless experiences.
