Chile further established it’s reputation as the new epicentre of bodyboarding when record numbers rolled up for today’s level one judging course in Antofagasta.
More then 50 people were put through the level 1 judging course delivered by APB head judge Chico Garritano (Brazil) including top riders like Alan Munoz, Nelson Flores, Miguel Rodriguez, Diego Sepulveda, Mikol Pascal Anias Velis & Guta Borges just to name a few.
Amazingly almost 200 people did the course course online as the event was webcast!
Garritano was amazed at the huge rollup and general enthusiasm of the participants.
“We have run many of these courses around the world but today was a record for us, showing that there is a lot of interest for the sport “on many levels here in Chile“, he added.
The APB have thrown open their doors and are looking for fresh faces and ex-pro riders to come and work as a judge on the world tour in the very near future.
The first step is to do the level one judging course designed by BIO (Bodyboard Industry Officials) in conjunction with APB, & then gain as much practical experience at club, state and national levels before moving on to the world tour.
Stay tuned for more of these courses around the world in 2019.
